We've had lots of visitors this summer, but none as enthusiastic as Shuping.
She said she never thought she would see one llama, let alone 15!

Rain and Rainbows
I thought I was going to get caught in the rain as I did chores this afternoon. I thought it would start raining at 3 and then at 3:30. I felt lucky that I was still dry when I finished cleaning the pastures and water troughs at 4:00. It finally started raining a little before 7:00.
All the llamas headed for shelter. Then the rain stopped, the llamas came out and so did the rainbow.

Llamas like to play in the sprinkler on hot days
Larry set up the sprinkler for the llama boys. I missed Storm jumping around in the sprinkler, but got a couple of pictures of the llamas on the periphery of the water. A little bit of a breeze helped cool off the boys who didn't want to "jump in" but still wanted the benefit.

Wildflowers in Bloom
Wildflowers are blooming all over the property. Wonderful time to hike with llamas - except for the mosquitoes.

One of the things we love about this property is all the wildlife that coexists with our llamas.
This time of year, both pronghorn and deer take up residence. As dry as it has been I have seen more twins with moms than I remember in past years.
Yesterday I let the female llamas out into their upper pasture. Then I saw how close the llamas were to the other wildlife.
